Power Tumbling & Trampoline

Athletes use the tumbling strip, trampoline, and circuit training to build skills from the world of power tumbling and trampoline. Programs are open to athletes from Grade 2 and up, and complement training in gymnastics, tumbling, cheer, and acro.

This program does not include Women’s Artistic Gymnastics events such as beam, bars, or vault.

Tumbling & Trampoline Grade 2+

Grade 2+1 Hour

This class introduces athletes to the world of TG. Using the tumbling strip, trampoline, and circuit training, athletes will be introduced to skills that are part of the repertoire of power tumbling and trampoline! Tumbling skills include cartwheels, roundoffs, front walkovers, back walkovers, and back handsprings. Trampoline skills include shape jumps, seat drops, swivel hips, airplanes, turn tables, back drops, and cradles.

Complements athletes in gymnastics, tumbling, cheer, and acro.

Advanced Tumbling & Trampoline Grade 2+

Grade 2+1.5 Hours

This class further develops and extends athletes' knowledge on the world of TG. Athletes will learn more advanced skills of power tumbling and trampoline. Tumbling skills include roundoffs, handsprings, and saltos. Trampoline skills include front and back handsprings and flips, arabans, baranis, and twists.

Complements athletes in gymnastics, tumbling, cheer, and acro.

Our Trampoline & Tumbling classes are open to athletes in Grade 2 and up. No prior tumbling experience required — coaches introduce skills progressively from cartwheels and roundoffs up through handsprings and saltos.

The regular class (1 hour) introduces fundamentals — cartwheels, roundoffs, walkovers, back handsprings, plus trampoline basics. The Advanced class (1.5 hours) extends to more difficult skills including saltos, flips, arabans, baranis, and twists.

Trampoline & Tumbling is its own discipline (TG). It does not include Women’s Artistic Gymnastics events such as beam, bars, or vault. It complements training for athletes in gymnastics, tumbling, cheer, and acro.

Comfortable, fitted athletic wear — leggings or shorts and a fitted top. No loose clothing or jewelry. Hair tied back. Bare feet on the gym floor.

Both — regular T&T at Scarborough (Thursdays) and Riverdale (Mondays). Advanced T&T is offered at Scarborough only (Thursdays).
