Tryout Required

Our competitive programs are designed for athletes ready to commit to focused training, structured progression, and the discipline that comes with competing at local and provincial events. From Ontario Developmental at age 5 through Provincial Levels and Tumbling, our coaches lead each athlete through the Gymnastics Ontario competitive pathway.

Competitive programs are available at our Scarborough Location. Select groups are available at our Riverdale Location.

Xcel Competitive

Ages 7+6–9 hrs / weekSept – June

Athletes compete optional routines choreographed with Toronto Premier Competitive gymnasts, with compulsory skills set per level. Two local competitions per season at the Bronze, Silver, and Gold levels — with an optional Team Travel Competition.

Ontario Developmental

Ages 5–64 hrs / weekSept – June

Our youngest competitive stream. Athletes compete in 2 local competitions, demonstrating strength, flexibility, shuttle runs, rope climb, and basic fundamental gymnastics skills.

Invitational Levels 1–3

Ages 6+6–9 hrs / weekJuly – June

Athletes compete WAG levels 1, 2, or 3 in 2 local competitions, performing compulsory routines on all four events and scored on their performance.

Provincial Levels 3–10

Ages 8+12–18 hrs / weekJuly – June

Athletes compete WAG levels 3–10 across 3 local Provincial Qualifiers — competing routines on all four events for a chance at the Ontario Provincial Championships and Tour Selection to compete as part of Team Ontario.

Tumbling

Ages 7+4 hrs (Jul–Aug) · 9 hrs (Sept–Jun)

Tumbling athletes from levels 1–5 compete 2 tumbling passes at 3 TG Ontario Cups, with the chance to earn spots at TG Ontario Provincial Championships, Tour Selection, Eastern Canadian Championships, and EliteCan.

All competitive classes are by invitation only. To begin, contact us to book a tryout/assessment. Our coaches will evaluate your athlete’s readiness, recommend the appropriate stream, and walk you through the next steps.

Xcel athletes compete optional routines (choreographed with our coaches) at the Bronze, Silver, and Gold levels in 2 local competitions per season. Provincial athletes compete WAG levels 3–10 in 3 Provincial Qualifiers, with the goal of earning a spot at Provincial Championships or Team Ontario. Provincial requires significantly more training hours per week.

Training hours vary by stream: Ontario Developmental (4 hrs/week), Xcel (6–9 hrs/week), Invitational L1–3 (6–9 hrs/week), Tumbling (4 hrs in summer, 9 hrs Sept–June), and Provincial L3–10 (12–18 hrs/week). The schedule grows alongside the athlete’s progression.

Most events are local Ontario competitions. Provincial-stream athletes compete at Provincial Qualifiers and may earn invitations to Provincial Championships, Tour Selection, Eastern Canadian Championships, or EliteCan. Xcel athletes also have an optional Team Travel Competition each season.

Comfortable, fitted athletic clothing — typically a gymnastics leotard, T-shirt, shorts, or leggings. No loose clothing, no jewelry, and long hair must be tied back. Bare feet are required in the gym.
